I started using Clip Studio

Wow...the last time I wrote this blog was about 7 years ago.

As the titles say, I started using Clip Studio Paint Pro. Before that I used Krita and it is good enough as a free painting tool, but Clip Studio Paint Pro has lots of blush tools including Sumi-e mode, so I decided to buy it. Almost at the same time, I bought a new drawing tablet "Kumadori". The size is the same as the old Wacom's one, but you can control the pen pressure much better than the old one (well, it's natural since I bought the old one 10 years ago!).

So, in this blog, I'll introduce 2 pictures I drew using them.

The first one is drawn with watercolour mode, and the second one is with Sumi-e mode. In my website, there are more new pics I drew, so if you're interested in them, please visit my website. You'll know what kind of pictures you can draw with Clip Studio Paint Pro as well.

Terrible...

Yesterday, a typhoon came close to where I live. Many weather forecasts said that the typhoon would bring lots of rain, but fortunately it didn't rain here so much. Instead, windy weather lasted until this afternoon. However, in total, what the weather forecasts said is really true in many areas, and Arashiyama in Kyoto (famous for Togetsu bridge) was in terrible situation this morning.

As for "terrible"...basically I use Redgage to show you my pictures and the site renewed several months ago. And while they were doing the operations, I believe that they lost the data in the old site. The owner says on the message page that all datas are safe, but actually, when the renewed site came up, the site showed my old profile pictures ( I changed it to a new one about a week ago before the site was closed for the operations), so I felt strange. The owner also says that they'll fix it in the next few days, but it has been more than a few months since the new site came out. In addition, the site is buggy even I use Chrome which is recommended by the owner. So, I'm thinking of using Photobucket for showing my pictures on this blog. Then it'll be easier to make thumbnails.

Because I can't get good ideas for drawing pictures, I can't show you many now, but from middle autumn to around Christmas are my best season for drawing, so please wait until then...

Oh no...

Since the air conditioner I'm using now is 13 years old and sometimes doesn't work, I went to an electrical appliance store yesterday. To save the energy, the inside of the store was a bit dark and not too cool. In addition, maybe it's Obon here, there weren't many officers there.

About a week ago the picture-sharing site I used to use was closed, so the pictures haven't been shown since then...I'll correct them from now. These days I've just been making sketches. Also, I try some new tools to put colours or to draw pictures.  Because of those reasons, there aren't many new pictures on this site for a while, but I'll write something if it's possible.

Please visit my website!

I'm very sorry for not updating this blog...since I don't have much confidence in my English, I'm really hesitate to write this blog. Instead, I have a website which introduce my works and sketches, so if you're interested in my recent works, please visit Okamel's World.

As you may know, there was a big earthquake in my country last year, and since then, there have been many many earthquakes continuously. Actually there were level 4 earthquakes in Kanto and Kyushu. Since I'm in Chugoku area, there have been few for the moment, but there may be one in the future...who knows (there was level 5+ earthquake about 10 years ago in Hiroshima)?

Anyway, I'll keep drawing humble works, and if I have time. I'll update this blog as well, so again, if you're interested in my pictures, please visit my website!

Rainy Season has Finished

There are some rainy seasons in Japan, but the longest one is in summer. Just few days ago it finished and hot summer has started here. I've heard that the maximum temperature in some places was over 36℃.
Since I drew new pictures, I'll upload some of them here. If you want to check more, please visit Okamel's World. These days I use "You're the Inspiration" as BGM, but still looking for songs which give me imagination...
If there are some I can write about, I'll do. Until then...

Whew, it's been for a while!

I really hesitate to write this blog since I don't have much confidence in my English, but I decided to write some today since I noticed that some people were very kind to write comments to mu blog. Thank you very much.
I created my website "Okamel's World" last year and am uploading my recent works irregularly. It's a great pleasure to know that some people are interested in my pics, and a person suggested me to draw comics. But for the moment I'm not get used to use pens and I don't know which paper is good to draw them. For the moment I'm using several kinds of postcard-sized paper such as paper for watercolour, Kent paper, Watson paper and so on. When I have much confidence in my drawing skill with pen, I may start drawing comics.
Until them , please enjoy my simple pics!
